State Level Training on Standard Operating Guidelines and Code of Conduct under the PCPNDT Act, July 2019

The Directorate of Family Welfare, Govt. of NCT of Delhi in collaboration with ADF India's Vanishing Girls Campaign and the Girls Count Coalition organized a state level training on the ‘Standard Operating Guidelines’ for the District Appropriate Authorities under the PCPNDT Act on 26th July 2019 at the India International Centre, New Delhi. The training was part of our constant effort to strengthen the implementation of the PCPNDT Act in Delhi NCR. The training aimed at developing the technical capacity of the law enforcers under the framework of ‘Standard Operating Guidelines’ and the ‘Code of Conduct’, and strengthen the response to gender-biased sex selection. The training was inaugurated by the Chef Guest Shri. Satyendar Jain, Hon’ble Health Minister, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. Participants at the day-long training included Deputy Commissioners, Sub Divisional Magistrates, District Nodal Officers, Chief District Medical Officers, Medical Officers and the representatives from the State PCPNDT Cell. Domain experts from social and legal fields were invited as trainers.
